Great Event This Monday-- The Voice Project Fall...
I’m involved in a charity event at the Chelsea Hotel this Monday, for The Voice Project, and we could use your support. The funds raised help Ugandan women whose children have been abducted into slavery as child soldiers, by providing them with microfinancing to get them and their families back together and back on their feet.
The event will be a blast, with open bar and DJ sets by...

Caroline Waxler covers the cachet of 212 cell-phone area codes for New York’s tech startup scene (a topic this site has touched on) for the Wall Street Journal:
“On the tech scene, retro connotes authenticity,” says web content strategist Peter Feld. “And 212 means you’re an authentic, old-school New Yorker. The irony is that 212 cell phones are a little phony, like fake vintage...

6,930 Jars Of Hot Tub Sanitizer… And Other GTL...
onlythewalletknows:
The cast of MTV’s hit show “Jersey Shore” may look cheap but their salary standards are not. Before beginning their third season, the Garden State gang went on strike, according to TMZ, putting a stop to taping until their salary demands are met.
We were curious what GTL-esque things their current $90,000 a season could buy and this is what we came up with. Follow the...

Since I’m no longer living in Paris (tear) and my old blog now has little relevance, I’ve decided to create a space to share thoughts, photos, music, etc. relating to fashion and culture, both low and high. Feedback is welcome and criticism is appreciated. Enjoy.
My amazing cousin’s new tumblr. follow. she’s an intern at WWD and is amazing.

Hey, the Mayans were only off by 2 years!
Don’t worry, pretty soon the Iranians will forget about Israel and focus on the trillion-dollar mineral discovery in Afghanistan. That won’t cause any problems I’m sure.

Whether you’re 25 or 40, it’s not okay to have wrinkles and splotches on your skin. That said, we’d rather not choose between emptying our pockets and ruining our bee-yoo-tiful complexions (minus those beginnings of crow’s feet we try to ignore).

Are You On THE LIST?
I’m honored!
johncarney:
Deep Capture scraped the FaceBook accounts of a handful of journalists and hedge fund managers and listed all our friends on their website. So far we have no idea what the purpose of the list is.
Now the list has been culled down to exclude random friends and family members. It looks like they are trying to figure out what media folks we might be connected with.
